Clog and Blockage Removal

A dryer exhaust blockage is material that restricts the route carrying moist air outdoors. We look for the affected part of that route and distinguish an obstruction from a crushed pipe, a loose connection or another reason the dryer is not exhausting normally.

Clues that the exhaust path may be obstructed

  • Laundry takes longer to dry than you are used to.
  • The outside exhaust flap barely moves during operation.
  • Lint or other debris is visible at an accessible opening.
  • A previously clear outlet now appears restricted.

How we work through a blockage concern

  1. Start with the symptom

We listen to what changed and identify the dryer, the accessible connections and the outdoor termination associated with your concern.

  2. Locate the restricted section

We review reachable portions of the route and the material inside them. A weak outlet flow alone does not locate the obstruction.

  3. Explain the access needed

You see which openings can be used and whether reaching the affected area calls for additional access or a separately described repair.

  4. Remove the agreed obstruction

The cleaning approach follows the duct material and reachable buildup. We clear the selected area rather than treat a damaged pipe as debris.

  5. Review the route afterward

We check the accessible path from the dryer toward the outside cap, photograph visible areas and explain any remaining restriction or defect.

What removal includes and what it does not

The proposal identifies the obstruction and the reachable section being addressed. Clearing that material can help reopen the exhaust passage. You receive an explanation of the location reached and the visible condition around it.

Blockage removal beyond the basic accessible cleaning scope is quoted separately after we see your system. A damaged pipe, a replacement cap or an opening through a wall requires its own description. Basic dryer vent cleaning is $99 per dryer vent.

What to show us at the visit

Point out the dryer and the outside outlet if you know where it is. Tell us when the change began and whether any earlier cleaning or building work affected the route. We explain the proposed access before starting and show before-and-after photographs of the visible work.

Blockage questions

Can a crushed pipe be fixed by removing lint?

Removing material does not restore a crushed section. We distinguish the obstruction from physical damage and explain whether a repair or replacement is needed for that particular part.

Does an obstruction at the outside opening describe the whole route?

It describes that opening, not every concealed section behind it. We review accessible connections and explain the reach of the work instead of assuming the visible outlet tells the entire story.
