MASTER PRO / HVAC UV LIGHT INSTALLATION

Why Choose
Ultraviolet Light?

Your heating and cooling system recirculates indoor air from room to room. Without enough fresh-air ventilation and effective filtration, airborne contaminants can remain in circulation. Caring for the air your family shares starts with understanding what is moving through your home.

Properly selected and installed HVAC UV-C equipment can help control microbial growth on the coil or drain-pan surfaces its light reaches. The equipment, placement and exposure determine what it can treat.

UV does not bring fresh air into your home or capture dust and allergens. It complements ventilation, filtration, cleaning and moisture control; it is not a guarantee against illness.

We confirm the model, placement and manufacturer operating instructions for your AC unit before installation.

UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE

Put UV to work
inside your AC.

Indoor contaminants can include mold spores, bacteria, viruses and allergens. Some can trigger allergies or asthma symptoms, and some airborne germs can cause respiratory infections. Properly selected and installed HVAC UV-C equipment can help control microbial growth on the coil or drain-pan surfaces its light reaches. The equipment, placement and exposure determine what it can treat. ASHRAE UV guidance

01 / PLACEMENT

Target the surfaces that need care.

We choose a position inside the AC unit that exposes the intended coil or drain-pan area to the light. The unit layout and selected UV equipment guide the placement.

02 / CONTINUOUS TREATMENT

Make UV part of ongoing care.

A compatible surface-treatment system designed for continuous use provides ongoing care while installed inside the AC unit. We explain its operating schedule and lamp-care instructions at installation.

03 / ONGOING CARE

Keep your UV system working as intended.

We explain when the selected lamp needs inspection, cleaning and replacement so you can keep up with its care.

ONE PART OF HVAC CARE

Better air care
takes more than UV.

UV does not bring fresh air into your home or capture dust and allergens. It complements ventilation, filtration, cleaning and moisture control; it is not a guarantee against illness. During a visit, we can review these parts of your AC care together.

UV installation is quoted separately from the $199 basic air duct service. Your quote identifies the equipment and installation work for your unit.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Choose UV with
the details in view.

Start with your ZIP code and the AC system you want to discuss. Installation scope and system suitability should be confirmed for your home.

Does UV replace fresh air or remove allergens?

UV does not bring fresh air into your home or capture dust and allergens. It complements ventilation, filtration, cleaning and moisture control; it is not a guarantee against illness.

What does the price cover?

Call our office for a quote. Price depends on the unit, selected UV equipment and installation access. The quote lists the equipment, installation location and work included. Basic duct cleaning is a separate service.

What if there is already visible growth inside my AC?

The first step is to assess the affected area and any moisture source. Existing deposits may need cleaning or other treatment before UV is considered for ongoing surface care. We explain the finding and proposed work for your unit.

EPA: UV lamps and mold
Does the light run 24/7?

Continuous operation is the intended use for a compatible surface-treatment system designed to run 24/7. We confirm the selected model and manufacturer instructions before installation and explain its operating schedule.

ASHRAE: HVAC UV applications
Can I look at the lamp or service it myself?

Direct UV-C exposure can harm eyes and skin. Professional installation should keep exposure contained inside the equipment. Power must be disconnected before service; follow the manufacturer's safety instructions and have servicing handled appropriately. Do not open equipment to inspect an operating lamp.

ASHRAE: UV safety guidance
How often does the lamp need attention?

Follow the installed system's instructions for inspection, cleaning and replacement. Ask about the maintenance requirements at installation; there is no single replacement schedule for every UV system.
