Gas Log Installation

Choose the flame. Confirm the fit.

Gas-log products have different venting and fuel configurations. Fireplace compatibility, available gas supply, product instructions and local requirements must be checked together. A set chosen for looks alone may not be suitable for the existing fireplace.

From the first assessment to your project plan

Planning identifies the fireplace model or construction, fuel supply and the exact log-and-burner product. Vented and vent-free systems have different requirements. Clarify who handles gas connections, what commissioning checks follow installation and which manufacturer operating instructions will be provided. A decorative log appearance does not establish compatibility.

Know what belongs in your quote

  • The fireplace model or construction, fuel type and current venting setup.
  • The specific log and burner system proposed, controls and compatibility.
  • Whether supply or connection work is needed, who performs it and what is included in commissioning.

Ask about this service
Are vented and vent-free logs interchangeable?

No. They have different installation and operating requirements. Suitability depends on the fireplace, selected product and applicable local requirements.

Is a gas log set the same as a gas insert?

No. These are different product categories. Tell us whether you want a log set or a complete insert so the request is assessed correctly.

Should I buy the log set before asking for a quote?

Discuss compatibility first. Share the exact proposed model if you already have one, so fireplace and fuel requirements can be checked before installation is agreed.
